Cutting and marking take me quite a while as it's my least favorite part and I keep finding something else to do.
I use Japanese Basting Thread to mark the seam lines, quilt lines, and other pattern markings. It's a little hard to see on this fabric, but I'm using different colors for each type. Also adding a bit of Post-It tape label with piece number, applied to the wrong side
- Blue for the left side seam lines
- Pink for the right side seam lines
- White for quilting lines
- Yellow for notches and other pattern markings
